Last month the Pharmacy students were involved in the Dunedin Relay for Life. There were over 30 students involved, and a total of over $2500 raised by the team. It was a fun 24 hours, that involved a lot of walking, a zumba class, a night movie, a complimentary breakfast and plenty of music A highlight of the event was the candle ceremony, where cancer survivors were paid tribute to and celebrated, along with everyone else that has been affected by cancer. There was a speech given by a carer for a cancer patient, that detailed the struggles that cancer brings to those unfortunate enough to be inflicted by the disease. It was for a very good cause and thank-you to those of you who came and got involved!
